Example math, not a forecast. Views vary a lot from post to post, and some deals cap CPM payouts.
How the math works
- CPM: posts per day × 30 days × platforms × average views ÷ 1,000 × CPM.
- Retainers: number of retainers × monthly fee. Each retainer is counted as one post a day for your time.
- Per-video: videos × fee per video.
- Per hour: total ÷ (all posts × minutes per post). Cross-posting one video to more platforms adds views, not hours.
What moves the number most
On CPM deals, volume and views per post do the heavy lifting: each extra post is one more shot at a video that takes off. On retainers and per-video deals, your minutes per post decide your hourly rate. Cut them and a third or fourth client becomes realistic. That's the idea behind posting 3× a day without filming more.

FAQ
How much do UGC creators make? +
It depends on the deal mix. Per-video, CPM and retainer deals all pay differently, and most creators stack several. Put your own numbers into the calculator to see your monthly total and your real hourly rate.
What is a good CPM for UGC? +
Published Canvas UGC rates sit roughly between $1 and $8 per 1,000 views depending on the source and the brand. Read the full breakdown in our UGC CPM entry.
Why does the calculator ask for minutes per post? +
Because pay per video hides the real number. A deal that pays less per video can pay more per hour if each video takes less time.
Does the calculator store my numbers? +
No. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere.
