Warning Hooks for TikTok & UGC: 30+ Examples
A warning hook calls out a mistake the viewer is making right now: "stop...", "don't...", "never...". People stay because nobody wants to be the one doing it wrong. It fits a serious, slightly concerned or "please, I'm begging you" reaction shot, and the demo shows the better way.

How to write warning hooks
Name a habit, not a product
"stop using budgeting apps" attacks a whole category and sounds like an ad. "stop guessing how much is left until payday" names a habit the viewer recognizes.
Make the mistake this week's
The viewer should be doing it right now: "stop rereading your notes the night before the exam". A vague warning like "stop wasting time" gets ignored.
Sound like a friend, not a cop
"please stop..." or "if you're still..., we need to talk" sounds like you care. Lecturing sounds like a brand. Lowercase helps.
No scare claims
Skip "you're ruining your health" or "you're losing thousands". A fear claim you can't back up breaks the trust the hook just earned.
